This page is actually COMPLETELY ABOUT MY KIDS. I did get 3rd Coolest Dad (you can read it HERE), but only because MY WIFE is so amazing and holds our whole damn world up, and because my kids are smart and make beautiful photos. Teaching my kids about photography started when Hawkeye was 4 1/2 years old. I bought him an instant camera and photographed him WITH THE GIANT CAMERA at Salvation Mountain, posting it to the @NatGeo Instagram feed back when we could post whatever and whenever we wanted. Everyone wanted to see his photos so I started AN ACCOUNT for them. It was his first day with a camera and 3 days later he had 30,000 followers. A year later it was 140,000. We started making photo trips just for him to do his own little “assignments” that grew into big and very real assignments and by the age of 5 he was ON ASSIGNMENT making his own photos for National Geographic. But it was never about making a photographer, it was about making an engaged human being and learning how to see the world and meet people. The tradition continued with Juno who started shooting at AGE 2. She is a MACRO PHOTO SPECIALIST. Hawkeye is now interested in UNDERWATER photography. Below are some of their photos and scenes from our adventures. Hawkeye has a BOOK as well.
